In an effort to assist my grandfather's energy throughout the day (frosted flakes give you a spike and then a fall with all that sugar) I've began frying up batches of pancakes in bulk, packaging them two by two, and freezing them. Even my kitchen inept grandpa can manage to microwave these for a few minutes each morning, making himself a delicious and nutritious breakfast (I use whole wheat flour, throw extra eggs in for protein and minimal butter in the pan). It's a fun and easy way to make someone in your life feel special, even yourself. You spend two hours one Sunday in the delicious smell of pancakes, frying, packing and freezing and for the next few weeks you have something healthier than Egos, more exciting than cereal and more filling than a piece of toast.
