On a beautiful April day in 2008 I was sitting in Washington Square Park with my new friend Shawn when I whipped out my camera. Shawn protested his picture being taken (not lovely) so I threw the camera on the picnic table, clicked the shutter and threw the camera back in my bag. I thought the picture was pretty, another friend Matt told me how it was clear I had spent a lot of time on the shot...how the composition was creative and clearly considered. None of this was true. This is a snap shot in every sense of the word. A snap shot that passes as an art piece? Now that's what I call Lovely, capital L.
