I don't know if this is true or not (I'm pretty sure there hasn't been extensive research on the topic) but I think that the love of antiquing is genetic. Both my grandmothers love to collect antiques; my paternal grandmother has made a life-career out of it. Somehow, along the way, I caught the bug and I've become sickly obsessed with antiques since then. This is why, last weekend, when I saw that there was a tag sale within walking distance to my house, I got up earlier than usual and walked over.

An older man greeted me and (like I said, I usually end up knowing the seller's life story by the time I leave) told me that he and his wife were moving to another state and had to get rid of all the little things in their life. Well, their "little things" consisted of: antique benches, vintage toys and miniatures, beautiful paintings, old fashioned steam trunks....and a box of antique doll clothing.

I don't know if I've mentioned it here before, but I grew up loving dolls. They were my passion in life. To me, every doll had a story and a soul. So, when I saw this box of gorgeous white lace doll clothing, I sat crossed-legged on the ground in front of it (yes, I was hovering over the box) and filed through every single article of clothing in there.

The wife caught me holding one of the dresses up and nonchalantly said, "Oh, we own Antique Doll Collector Magazine." She told me that the dresses were antique and used on dolls of hers from the Magazine. I didn't know how much they were going for, so I chose my favorite two and luckily I got a great deal on them.

And now I am bringing them to you, readers. Go check out these authentic antique doll dresses ripped straight from the exhilarating headlines of Antique Doll Collector Magazine. These are truly one-of-a-kind delights and perfect for any doll collector of any age!
