I am a huge fan of jumpers. Just for the record, a jumper is "a sleeveless, collarless dress intended to be worn over a blouse, shirt or sweater" (Thank you, Wikipedia). However, I think a jumper is aptly named that because you can literally, "jump right into it" and you have a whole outfit ready to go! I love wearing jumpers to work because it's a no-fail-plan. Blouse/t-shirt/leotard+jumper+stockings+boots=one happy and stylish teacher. This is why when I stumbled across the Team Spirit Dress from Parsimony, a shop based out of Austin, Texas, I fell in love. First of all, I love the name of the dress. It implies a camaraderie between women (especially women who love dresses). Secondly, I love the simplicity of the dress. The adorable ruffled sleeves adds a touch of originality and femininity to the dress, while the simple buttons up the front make this dress adult enough for a grown woman to wear to work. I love this blue color (pictured) but Parsimony says it can make virtually any color for you, in your perfect size. Why spend the $65 dollars at a chain clothing store and get something that fits you eighty-percent right when you can design you own dress and have it fit like a glove?

If I had my druthers I would have a closet full of these dresses in every single color. This dress reminds me of one of my favorite childhood books, Marianna May and Nursey by the amazing Tomie dePaola. The book is about a little girl who has a dress in every color for every activity she does. (PS. Tomie dePaola is coming to Book Revue in Huntington on October 6th!).

I think this is a must-have dress for anyone who wants to look classy and stylish in a snap. The dress is flattering, adorable, and still mature enough for women of all ages and body types to look lovely in.
